When you also plan to donate most of your wealth to a noble cause, that is rare. Ben Delo has done both in his recent decision to join The Giving Pledge.

Delo has joined the ranks of Bill Gates and Warren Buffet as two prominent members of this charitable cause. He made his fortune in the crypto industry as the co-founder of BitMEX. Ultimately, this is a crypto derivatives exchange. He has now pledged to donate a substantial amount of his fortune to combat global challenges.

The Giving Pledge was actually started by Bill and Melinda Gates along with Warren Buffet. It is a charitable initiative aimed at the super-rich. Delo’s recent pledge is to spend his money funding initiatives for catastrophic threats. At the top of the list were nuclear war and extreme climate change.

Delo, himself released the following statement on The Giving Pledge website:

Another prominent member of this charitable group is Brian Armstrong. He is also another crypto billionaire as the CEO of Coinbase.com. He made his pledge to the growing group in December of 2018. His primary focus will be education.

The current list of members is 204 representing 23 different countries. Other prominent names from a variety of industries including:
